DIY Charcoal Nose Mask

diy-final

I love this charcoal nose mask, and it’s super easy and works! Our nose sometimes needs more than just an everyday wash; I find this is where that unwanted build up in your pores like to hang out, or at least in my case.

Pores tend to expand and get larger as we age, due to dirt, oil, and debris. This charcoal mask is easy to put together and cost effective. Skin takes about one month to renew so what I like to do is this DIY mask once a week as well as exfoliate every other day.

What you will need

Charcoal Capsules

Elmer’s Glue (Don’t be freaked out by the glue)

Sticks

How to mix up

Mix one capsule of the activated charcoal into a bowl. This ingredient can be somewhat messy so take your time and make sure you place the capsule over the bowl to avoid getting it everywhere.

Once you have mixed the two ingredients together, you will want to apply the mask to your nose quickly. You can also use this anywhere on your skin that has a bad case of clogged pores. The application is sticky due to the glue, use the stick that you used to stir the product at an angle to apply the mask.

Leave the mask on for about 15-20  minutes until it dries, if you see the picture above you will see certain areas drying quicker than the rest, it’s important that you wait until it’s completely dry to remove.

This is not one of those masks if you leave on to long you look like a red tomato and go into a state of shock!

Once the mask is dry remove slowly as if you were taking off a band-aid, the great thing about this mask is the instant gratification seeing all that gunk pulled out of your pores. I would recommend using this DIY mask once a week.

What are a few of your favorite DIY masks? I’m always looking to expand, thank you for stopping by! If you enjoyed this post, you might also like 5 ways to minimize pores.
