Bleach Happens

Moving into fall is always an exciting thing warm socks, autumn leaves, and hoodies. You might also be asking yourself what the hell did I do to my hair this summer. Well, at least for me this is what happened. Every summer without fail I go for a lighter look, and I always notice unwanted split ends at the bottom of my locks. You know those split ends you can’t deny that face you in the mirror daily.

I have found these tips to be helpful to repair your hair from over processed bleach. If this sounds oh to familiar, keep reading, this blog is for you!

Invest in a Deep Conditioner

Here’s the kicker, we as women, tend to panic when we see split ends. Am I right? I use to make the mistake of buying the most expensive deep conditioner towards the end of summer and use it daily. WRONG don’t do that; you will over condition your hair to make matters worse for yourself. Instead, invest in a great conditioner that you can use once a week. A little goes a long way. I always apply my conditioner and shave my legs while the conditioner is penetrating into my hair. I don’t know how that pertained to the blog or where I was going with it. Maybe a useful tip to save time in the shower?

These are my top 2 favorite deep conditioners that work wonders.

Kerastase Bain, you can find it on Amazon Prime and have it sent quick. It’s expensive but worth every penny.

Kerastase BAin

Ken Paves just came out with a line and I’m loving the conditioner it’s affordable, and it smells great. Interesting enough it’s in Walmart, which is just not my cup of tea. Ordering online is totally doable.

Comb Don’t Brush

Brushing is excellent in some cases especially if you want to stimulate your hair follicles to grow faster. If you are in a bleaching situation like I was, get a wide tooth comb fast. At this point, you want to work on the hair that is existing. I use ._______ I got it from _____. When your hair is wet after you just out of the shower, carefully use your comb starting from the ends and working your way up top. This will help from further hair breakage. Take your time, and don’t yank through your hair. Your locks are in a fragile state and need to be treated with care.

Air Dry your Hair

Chill out with the hot tools. If you absolutely can’t go without a hot tool try for every other day. When I let my hair air dry I look like a poof ball, and it’s not cute. My girlfriend years ago got me on this product and I thought I would pass it along. It’s a texturizing sea salt that I love.

Here is a link of what I use if you want to get creative. Love it!

Here’re to beautiful locks for the fall! If only I could be a redhead….Talk about a beautiful hair color!
