Pop of Pink for Fall

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Who caught the Emmy’s on Sunday night? I have to admit I usually watch them for the Fashion more so than the actual awards. This blog post was definitely inspired by watching BEST and WORST dressed. Usually my style is wearing neutrals, I love black, white & nude, however, I started venturing out to wearing a bit more color, pink specifically. If you are like me and where more neutrals, maybe it’s time to rock a pop of color.

I swear you will feel like a new woman!

Beautiful pops of pink, ruby reds were everywhere on the red carpet and the after-party. Here were a few of my favorites! Which one is your fav? I would have to say Mandy Moore on the right killed it!

So, I went to an event a few weeks ago and the theme was pink! As a neutral girl, I searched my closet for anything pink that I could find, the choices were slim but I decided to do something wild and pair my over the top hot pink organza blouse with my bubble gum tailored pants. Both items are from Zara btw and the entire look was under $200! This outfit is no longer available, I swear I love Zara but their downfall is they switch out clothing so quickly. If you find an item you love from Zara BUY it! It will be gone quick, I’ve made this mistake a few times and was annoyed myself for not buying the item! Butttt….with that being said If you are into my pink on pink look I  found some other amazing pieces to shop at the bottom of the post…

My outfit was very much a statement piece, I wanted to make sure my shoes were simple so I rocked a nude patent pump which is always a staple in my closet I wear on repeat, you can find them here! They are a Christian Louboutin dupe, minus the higher price tag! I wore a neutral bag as well as diamond studs, when wearing statement outfits DON’T let the accessories take away from the Star of the show AKA the outfit!

Where did I get this crazy idea to throw this outfit together? Well first off, this outfit was put together on a 5-minute whim! I didn’t put much thought into it, in fact when I get ready usually it’s my hair that gets the most attention. What I have always done when picking an outfit regardless of the color,  I make sure that things match in color or they complement each other in contrast! You can do this look with any color, think about matching a dark grey pair of pants with a light grey blouse, it would look beautiful! Monochromatic is beautiful regardless of the color! Don’t be afraid to get into your closet and see what you have and try this technique, it’s totally out there, but turns head and most honestly life is too damn short to not go for it!
