I don’t know about you, but personally when it comes to buying a new pair of sneaks I gravitate to the cutest ones. I rarely put much thought into what type of shoe I should be working out in. I mean a sneaker is a sneaker right? Well, I guess I was wrong. I recently went to Finish Line and found the cutest shoes that I knew would look super fly up at the gym. The sales rep has asked me if I was runner. Is that a serious question? I get a side-ache five minutes into a run! So, with that being said does your shoe fit? Let’s compare a Training and Running shoe. When you are ready for some new sneaks be mindful about what you really need.
Training Shoe
Yes! I had to put this one at the top because its my favorite shoe to train those glutes aka booty. A Training shoe is very versatile but not necessarily for everyone. This shoe is perfect for weight training and sports. This shoe definitely provides a lot of support and stability. The sides of the shoe provide even more support for lateral movements of the feet. A training shoe is very durable and can often be a little heavier than a running shoe. If you find yourself in the gym doing more cardio on the treadmill I would opt for a running shoe because it’s lighter. If you are unsure about what type of shoe you are about to purchase my suggestion is ask a sales rep at the store. One of my very favorite shoes to train in is Nike Zoom Fit Agility. This gives me so much support and not to heavy when I want to dedicate my workouts to Plyo movements for conditioning.

Running Shoe
I so wish I could be that person that loves to have a major sweat session from having a gorgeous outdoor run. I love to do the occasional cardio so I always keep one pair of running shoes just in case. Who knows maybe one day I’ll turn into that major fierce woman who runs a 10k. A girl can dream! Running shoes are a breed within itself if cardio is your thing, make sure you are wearing the right shoe. Running shoes are designed to be lightweight to make a run as seamlessly smooth as possible. They are designed for forward movements. The shoe is designed for special cushioning to help support the foot with impact to the ground. I hope this helps you find the exact shoe you need! Please don’t forget to buy a cute pair! Life is to short to buy basic shoes.
Do you ever feel bad when you pick a pretty trainer instead of a more neutral one?
That’s my biggest struggle! And of course I vow to only buy a nice grey or a sleek black that will go with any workout gear. But I end up with a Tiffany blue or lovely lilac pair every time.
Hi, Stephanie! You can never go wrong with Tiffany Blue. I find that beauty reflects who you are inside. Find a trainer that you have a connection with and you gravitate to that person. Thank you for stopping by my blog! Happy 2016!
This really answered my problem, thank you!
